The First Shogun
Did you know that the first Shogun of Japan was a black man.
The general Sakanouye no Tamuramaro was symbolized in Japanese history as a paragon of military virtues. His family was know for their military prowess.
Sakanouye no Tamuramaro lead the campaign to the north to subdue the Ainu (the aborigines of Japan). After which, he was deemed Shogun.
